Specializing in therapeutic and sports massage, Move Free Massage Therapy in Lakewood, OH, offers a relaxing space to slow down, rejuvenate, and heal - to help you live your best life, pain-free everyday.

The mission of Move Free Massage Therapy is to help all people to reduce the physical effects of stress, live pain-free, move free and enjoy the active lifestyle they love and deserve.

Our approach to massage is to treat it as it is intended - as a THERAPY.

Every new client session begins with a review of your physical movement history, past injuries, current issues or concerns as well as specific assessments to narrow down the root cause of tension or pain.  Your therapeutic massage sessions are then customized to address these specific issues, repetitive stresses, and your personal wellness goals.

After your first session, we will work together to determine your best treatment plan to get you on your way to feeling pain free, moving free, and living your best life.  Depending upon your specific treatment plan, we will reassess your progress after a few therapeutic massage sessions. â€‹

Licensed Massage Therapist

Board Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork

Certified Yoga Instructor

I've always enjoyed and thrived on leading an active lifestyle - as a runner, yoga practitioner, mom of two active boys, hiking, biking, kayaking, etc. Now in my 40s, I truly believe I'm able to keep my body moving and doing all of these things pain-free through a combination of massage, self-care, and yoga. I'd like to help you do the same.

In 2017, after working for over ten years in marketing and event management, I was overly stressed and feeling unfulfilled in my career. I had been teaching yoga for several years as a hobby and realized I was in love with learning about the body, how it should move, and helping people move out of pain and discomfort. So I made a big pivot and attended Cuyahoga Community College's Massage Therapy Program and further on through the Advanced Clinical Therapies Certification.

My massage therapy philosophy is centered on finding the primary source of the imbalance to remove restrictions and release tight muscles in the body, allowing you to live pain free and move freely.

I specialize in Therapeutic Massage, blending traditional Swedish massage with Advanced Clinical Therapeutic techniques and Sport Massage Techniques; integrating Trigger Point Release, Myofascial Release, muscle energy technique, and assisted stretching, among others. Plus I'm a lifelong student - constantly reading new research, learning new techniques and specialties to provide the best customized therapy treatments.

What Clients Experience

"Christina has been taking care of me the last couple of years. I put a lot of stress on my body from weightlifting, CrossFit, and running, paired with a job where I am on my feet all day. Christina has been able to keep my 40 year old body in working order, and has been flexible in booking around my busy schedule. I cannot recommend her enough."

~ Kristin

"After just two sessions with Christina, the range of motion in my tight shoulder has increased dramatically. I appreciate her problem-solving approach and strong but gentle touch."

~ Lori

"My experience was amazing, Christina did an excellent job loosening my stiff muscles and provided great therapeutic massage with effective techniques. By the end of our session I felt a significant reduction in pain."

~ Client

"This was a great experience. My doctor recommended seeing a massage therapist to help with the back issues that I have been dealing with for over 20 years and am glad I chose Christina. She understood the issues and targeted them perfectly. Most relaxed I have felt in years and did not wake up the next day in any pain."
