More About Me

Christina Metz

Licensed Massage Therapist

National Board Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork

Certified Yoga Instructor

I've always enjoyed and thrived on leading an active lifestyle - as a runner, yoga practitioner, mom of two active boys, hiking, biking, kayaking, etc. Now in my mid-40s, I truly believe I've been able to keep my body moving and doing all of these things (relatively) pain-free through a combination of massage, self-care, and yoga. I'd like to help you do the same.

I specialize in Therapeutic Massage, blending traditional Swedish massage with Advanced Clinical Therapeutic techniques and Sport Massage Techniques; integrating Trigger Point Release, Myofascial Release, muscle energy technique, and assisted stretching, among others. Plus I'm a lifelong student - constantly reading new research, learning new techniques and specialties to provide the best customized therapy treatments.

I also don't just 'talk the talk'...

I've been a runner since high school, but didn't get into longer distances until my late 20s. I fell in love with the sport of running, the challenge, as well as the whole running and endurance sport community. That's evolved to include trail running, cycling, and hiking, plus I love trying out new forms of movement whenever I can, including stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, climbing, etc.

In the past 15 years, I have run 30 half marathons, 1 full marathon, 2 triathlons, 1 century (100 mile bike), as well as several Burning River 100 trail relays, countless 5ks, etc.  I'm currently working on completing '50 half marathons before I turn 50' and a Half Marathon in every state.

- I don't share this to brag, just to share that I'm happy to say I've remained primarily injury-free through all the training and racing with a combination of yoga, massage, and other regular bodywork.

And when I'm not running, practicing yoga or working with massage clients, I'm a mom of two very active athletic boys. I also love gardening, taking road trips, camping and visiting craft breweries, in my 'spare' time.
